A new grant window is set to open on Wednesday 20th October.
There are 4 types of projects available under this grant:
Research starter projects - applications close 24th November 2021
Feasibility projects - applications close 1st December 2021
Small research and development partnership projects - applications close 1st December 2021
Large research and development partnership projects - launching 2022
This grant forms part of the Farming Innovation Programme, which has a pot of £17.5 million available. All applications are competitive. The programmes aims are to:
help farmers, growers and foresters increase productivity, sustainability and resilience
reduce the environmental impact of agriculture and horticulture
apply agricultural research to provide real benefits for farmers, growers and foresters
use science to develop solutions for the practical challenges in agriculture and horticulture
It is thought that there will be a number of rounds available for this grant over coming years.
